Cable Flyes

Cable Flyes are usually done in the gym. Standing in between two cable
stations, you will grab a handle attached to each station by standing in the middle of the two stations and
reaching your hands out away from your sides. If the cable stations are far enough apart, you may have to take a
step or two to the side in order to reach each cable. The beginning position will be with the hands out to the
sides about chest to head high. Pull inward on each cable moving the handles equally closer to one another while
keeping a slight bend in the elbows. As your hands continue moving in and down, make sure to keep them out in front
of you. Continue until your hands come together with your palms facing each other. You may extend the elbows here
if you wish to squeeze the chest muscles a little more. Begin to allow the hands go back along the same path they
took on the way down in order to return to the starting position controlling the cables the whole way.
Cable Flyes are an acceptable exercise for
kids
As with the Dumbbell Flyes, the form for Cable Flyes may be difficult for Kids to understand. In
that case, it is perfectly acceptible for Kids to do Chest Presses.
