Machine Chest Presses
Print this exercise
The set up for Machine Chest Presses will vary from machine to machine. Generally, you want
to set the seat height so that the handles of the machine are lining up just below the shoulders. Pick a light
weight to begin with. Have a seat on the machine, placing your hands on the handles. Push the handles out directly
in front of you to the point right before your elbows are locked out. Return you hands back to the starting
position in a controlled manner. Make sure not to lower or lift you elbows too much during this exercise as this
can cause too much stress on the shoulder area.
Machine Chest Presses can be a good exercise for kids
Make sure the kids use proper form during Machine Chest Presses and keep their weights lower
to avoid any possible shoulder trouble.
