I all of the sudden jumped up one day when I was either 15 or 16 years old and wanted to be fit.

I know it sounds crazy, but that's the way it happend. I was watching tv and for no apparent reason, I wanted to get fit. I knew I could do it. And I knew I would be good at it. And I knew I wanted to get started right away.

It was raining.

My dad had an old bench press and some of those plastic, cement covered weights outside. I marched right out there and started to lift those weight in the rain. I did everything I knew to be a weight lifitng move.

I did this for weeks, every day.

For some reason, I knew that I knew how to be really fit so all I had to do was just do it and I would create something really amazing that everyone would be really impressed with.

All I created was a really sore body for a long time.

If this wasn't enough, I began to run when I wasn't weight lifing (I was a skinny kid, with no muscle) so I would be that much better. I had heard about those weight lifters who put on too much fat and that was not going to be me.

I didn't put on any muscle either.

Talk about hard headed, I did this for about 2 years before I began to ask for help. Yeah I read an occasional article but I couldn't get past the notion that I already knew what to do.

It wasn't until I was willing to admit that I didn't know what was going on that my true journey began.

That journey has led me to where I am today.

You will find that one of the quickest things I am willing to say is "I don't know, or I'm not sure about that" Why?

Because that is what has made the greatest fitness experience of my life unfold.

It still was not easy by no means. I began to ask for help everywhere and I met with a plethora of advice, people, methods and products.

My beginning to ask is also part of my journey.

The Big Secret.. What was this thing?

So many people told me that I could not achieve so many things for one reason or other. Bad advice, discouragement, rude etc.

At a young age, I promised myself that when I found the answer, I WOULD HELP AS MANY PEOPLE AS I COULD.

Especially those that were like me, determined but struggling.

All of this has led me to be a very successful personal trainier. Yes, I'm a personal trainer, and that is yet another story in my repetoire that you may read about if you like...

That's my story in a nutshell. Take from it what you will as I feel we all have a story to share that brought us here and it is important that we find the significance as it pertains to helping others.

Without boring them to death!
