Quick and Early Breakfast
Shake
Print this recipe
I (Matt) use this because I leave the house very early and I don't have
the time to get up and cook a whole breakfast. I can mix this shake and consume it in the span of two minutes
and be out the door. This recipe is no slouch. It has essential fatty acids, fiber, complex carbs and the
power packed punch of whey protein. You can't beat it for speed and super nutritious
fuel!
I've got Jen hooked on this one too
now!
Makes 1 serving
8-16 ounces of pure water
1 tablespoon flax oil (I use the organic version)
1 scoop of whey protein (I use all natural whey, no flavor)
2/3 to 3/4 cup uncooked Quick Quaker oats (use the protein scooper to measure, it's appx. 1/4 cup per
scoop).
1 teaspoon Stevita Stevia
1 whole banana (or whatever fresh fruit you like)
Optional ingredients: Cinnamon (just a
little shake)
1 tablespoon of instant coffee (it's good with the right fruit like banana and you get that little added jolt to
get you out the door)
Combine all ingredients in the blender and blend until desired
consistency. I drink it straight from the blender because my wife is not awake yet to yell at me, but you can put
it in a cup or travel container to get you on the road even quicker. Hope you really enjoy this Matt and
Jen favorite!
