Schedule Results, Not
Workouts
This is the most important week of your fitness life. Why? Because this is the week you achieve your goal.
Sound good?
Ok. This week is just like last week, and you can just keep watching those fleeting successes blow by in the
wind of your mind, with the hope of one, maybe just one, actually, accidentally landing on you. Doesn’t sound so
good?
Ok then, this is the most important week of your fitness life (I thought it was).
What’s your goal? I don’t know, whatever you say it is. Lose two pounds of body fat? Have an inch slimmer waist?
You tell me. The point is you should be excited about it and Monday morning you should be itching to get to it.
That’s why you schedule results. Don't just think about doing those same old, get nowhere, not sure where
you are going or when you are going to do them workouts.
Schedule results based on your goals for this week.
Have you been dealing with a 40" waist? Yeah, well whatever your waist size, this is the week your waist becomes
slimmer by a half or one inch. It’s your goal and you can visualize yourself with that great big smile on Friday
when you achieve it.
How do you achieve it? By scheduling it, you will seeing it and you will be motivated to take action so you
can become it, one goal at a time. Set this week’s goal and schedule those results. Put it in your iPhone,
Blackberry, on your calendar, whatever it is you use…
"Lose two pounds or half inch slimmer waist". This week’s results and rewards are
yours for the taking if you want them.
What's your goal for this week? You specifically? Not someone else or what you think someone woulld
want you to say (including me)... What do you want? Can you say it? Can you see it? You want the results?
Good. Schedule it and go and get it.
Turning a 40" waist into a 30" waist is a lot of work, I agree. But you’ll never get to a 30" waist from 40"
without having to have a 39 or 39.5" waist (at least I’ve never seen it) and then a 38" waist and so on. Do you get
my point?
And guess what? When you get to the 30" waist mark, you’ll have another goal. You’ll have more results to
achieve.
That’s the whole point of continued, successful exercise.
Don’t fool yourself into thinking that scheduleing results is just something
you will be doing for a short while. It’s actually part of being successfully fit and healthy.
Goals may change, but they had better be there otherwise exercise loses it’s point and ultimately you
will stop and it won’t be long till the waist inches return.
By the way, I’ve never seen someone look in the mirror after a workout and say "All done. My waist is slim, my
muscles are tone, I can touch my toes, run fast and far… I’m all done". There’s no such thing.
Question: Why don’t we workout?
False Answer we tell ourselves: Because it’s hard, tiring and what’s the point anyway, I’m
gonna have to workout like crazy for the next year to achieve any results…
Truth: You’ve only got to workout out hard enough to achieve this week’s results. If you start
with the right goals like losing one to two pounds or a half inch here or there, you’ll be amazed at how quickly
your year has flown by.
Question: Why don’t we eat right and continue to further our knowledge on how to eat right?
False answer we tell ourselves: Because I’ll have to eat that way forever before I have the
body I want and that’s just too much to ask for that long.
Truth: You’ve go to eat right enough for you to achieve this week’s results. By just paying
closer attention to what you are eating and how it is affecting your body, you will be making great progress in
terms of your health and fitness.
My wife can eat peanut butter at night a few times per week and still make her goals by Friday (let’s hate her
together). I can’t. Do I feel deprived because I didn’t eat peanut butter with her when I make my goal for this
week? No way. Was the peanut butter worth it when I don’t make my goal? No way.
The point is, consistently scheduling and completing
your exercise and monitoring your progress is enough. You will soon know what gets you your results and
what does not.
By the way, at fitforeverinforty.com I show you a proven method for reaching your weekly goals time and time
again.
Think about you smiling when you make this week’s goal a reality. Your smile gets bigger when you realize that
you are the one who is in control of your destiny and those results that were just blowing by in the wind of your
mind from time to time are now actually yours.
Now take the time to schedule those results for the week and go get them. After all, they are yours.
