*Stability ball plank with leg raise

Print this exercise

This is a great core combo if you are able to do it. It is very challenging, so keep yourself safe by keeping all sharp objects away as you may take a tumble your first few attempts.

Begin by assuming the plank position on a stability ball with your elbows on the ball and your toes on the ground. Make sure you are maintaining a neutral spine, not drooping your butt toward the ground or raising it to the ceiling. After assuming the plank position, raise one of your legs up toward the ceiling as far as you can while maintaining your balance. Then lower that leg back to the ground before beginning to raise the opposite leg. This is a great overall core exercise. It takes a lot of balance and coordination.

Stability ball plank with leg raise is a great exercise for kids
