*Static lunge

Static Lunges can also be called "the no feet move lunge". Why? Because after the initial step is taken forward, your feet will remain in the same position until all the reps or the alloted time is complete for that side. While the feet remain in the same position, the exercise is performed by lowering down until the rear knee almost touches the ground (or as low as you can go) and then extending the legs to return back to the upright position.

Static lunges are a great exercise for kids

Make sure that kids are performing the Lunge correctly so there will be no knees going past the toes in any instance of this exercise. Most Kids will not need any more resistance than their own body weight.
